Embark on a journey through the creation of fire and experience the incredible traditions handed down through generations for thousands of years at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Indulge in an unforgettable evening full of music and dance unique to Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait cultures with the Park's Night Fire show and dinner experience.

The night is filled with a range of great entertainment, culture and food so you can expect an enjoyable night the whole family will love. Upon your arrival, you'll be given access to the art gallery and enjoy a range of native spiced canapés with complimentary drinks before being officially greeted with the Cultural Welcome and Didgeridoo Journey as well as face painting. The Tjapukai Aboriginal Dance Performance and Lakeside Firemaking Ceremony and Fire Ball are performed and enjoyed before dinner is served meaning nothing is rushed and everything is enjoyed.

Discover some of Australia's unique bush foods as the Tjapukai chefs create a spectacular feast interspersing traditional restaurant flare with hints of native food. Some of the food you can expect includes char grilled kangaroo burgers, grilled local Spanish Mackerel and homemade Tjapukai Carrot Cake - the full sample menu can be viewed below. Following dinner you will have the chance to meet the performers and have a photo opportunity before being farewelled. This is a great attraction for all ages to enjoy and the Night Fire option provides visitors with a unique cultural experience and delicious array of food. Tjapukai is conveniently located between Cairns and Palm Cove and the night performance runs from 7pm until 9:30pm meaning it isn't that late a night for you to travel back to your accommodation.

I was surprised by the excellence of the facility, the artwork, and the dinner, it was almost too modern to be totally authentic. The Aboriginal dancers and musicians put on a good show and interacted well with the culturally diverse audience. All the staff were very good. There were many free photo opportunities and we all had our faces painted. Have your camera ready at the end of the fire making to take a video.
